Everyone loves a bad boy, but what about a bad girl?
Can a girl be damaged,
sick,
twisted?
Bad girl, I’m such a bad girl
I cut myself open from the navel
And my insides are black and gooey
No, I’m not pure anymore, no
I am not a good girl
Good boy, you’re such a good boy
Eyes twinkling you stand up
On the bike, sliding down the hill
Wind in your hair, scent of fresh
Grass in the air; you’re so pure
Good boy, bad girl
My wounds are festering before your eyes
I am naked, and exposed
As an infant
All of us are children, on the very inside
And then inside that, we are stardust
And nothing more, nothing less
Take my hand, my good boy
Let us gaze at the stars
From this earthly gutter.
